To speed up the serving proccess and to pass the overheads saved onto the customer, we have installed the latest in self-vending machines - a token dispenser , a change machine and a tanning lotion vending machine. There's also 2 of the latest state-of-art Shiatsu Massage chairs and 2 'Pulse8' Vibration Toning Plates ( see the Massage Chairs page ).
To use the token dispenser, you first decide which sunbed you'd like to use ( 180w for new tanners, 200w for experienced tanners and the 250w for advanced tanners) Then decide how long you'd like to use the sunbeds for - 3 minute session per token - Please make your selection by studying our 'which skin type' posters in-store or visit our 'Tanning Safety Tips' page on the left of this page. ie fair skin 3 mins, medium skin 6 mins etc.

Once you've decided on the length of time your tanning session will be and which sunbed you can use, you just insert the correct money in £1 or £2 coins into the token dispenser and select the GOLD £1 tokens for the 180w sunbeds or the SILVER £2 tokens for the 200w sunbeds. The 250w sunbed uses the same SILVER £2 tokens , but each token last 2 minutes instead of 3 minutes. The correct tokens will be dispensed at bottom of machine ( its the big blue one in below pic ). The massage chairs accept £1 coins only and the Pulse8 Vibrating Plates accept 1 x £2 silver token. It does not give change so either insert the correct money or get notes changed into £1 coins by using our 'note-changer' machine. (which is the smaller machine to the right in the pic.)
To use the sunbeds, once you've locked the changing cubicle door and un-dressed, you insert the tokens into the sunbed token meter - inserting one at a time until each session is registered. When the meter detects that you've finished, the sunbed will start up after about 10 seconds. Enter the sunbed itself and close the doors behind you - these doors don't lock and you can open the a little if it gets too hot ! Theres also an emergency button inside, just in case. All the tubes will light up when the session begins. Raise your arms and hold onto the handles in the ceiling to assist in tanning your sides. Tie back any long hair as the extract fan is quite powerful. The tubes are 360 degrees around you so you don't have to turn. When all the tubes go out, your session has finished and you can leave the sunbed - just don't forget to get dressed first !! Ha, Ha, He, he...! It has happened !!
